We are in the middle of one of Minnesota’s famous two seasons (winter and construction) and it’s not winter…........construction season has hit Green Valley Garden Center! The county is resurfacing Green Valley Road (yeah!!) and the Garden Center is using this opportunity to revamp the driveway and parking areas. It is worth the effort to come visit us and see our new look… in each stage of construction! We are hoping to be done by the end of August, giving us a brand new feel during Customer Appreciation Week which starts Tuesday, September 2nd. Saturday the 6th is the biggest day which you won’t want to miss. From 8-10 a.m. on Saturday, September 6th, the BOB Radio crew is here with Deals on Radio and it IS a big deal!
Fall product is now coming ready and going fast, although more batches of mums and other products are ripening all the time. Our tree lot is ‘hopping’ with customers anxious to provide a bit more shade and interest in their lawns. Shrubs, especially hydrangeas, have been extremely popular. The Green Valley perennial lot is, as usual, a great place to dream and discover lovely additions to your garden. Grasses are showing off their graceful plumes, in sync with every breeze that arises.
This fall, be sure to amble over to our Display Gardens on the WEST side of the parking area where you will discover mature plant examples of many varieties we sell. This gives you an opportunity to see how these shrubs, grasses and perennials turn out in MN conditions.
